Privacy

Letter Rain is a browser-based word puzzle with no accounts and no server. This page explains what the game does with your data.

What is stored

Your game results are saved locally in your browser using a few keys:

  • lr_today_en Your current day's session — words played and round scores. Replaced each day.
  • lr_session_en In-progress game state — used to resume mid-game if you reload or close the tab.
  • lr_history_en A running record of past games — dates, words, scores — used to power the Stats screen.
  • lr_lang Your language preference (en, fr, or de).

This data never leaves your device. We have no server-side database and cannot see your results.

How to delete it

On iPhone: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → letterrain.uk. On desktop: DevTools → Application → Local Storage, then delete any of the keys above. Clearing your browser's site data for letterrain.uk has the same effect.

No third parties

Letter Rain does not contact any third-party services. Fonts are served from the same domain as the game; there are no analytics, no advertising networks, and no tracking pixels.

Sharing

The Share Game button produces a plain-text summary of your result and passes it to your device's native share sheet or clipboard. Once it leaves the browser we have no visibility into where it goes.
